Growing up in cocoa beach brainstorming

Let's just call me beach bunny for now. The names and places may or may not have been changed for privacy. All my stories are true, well as much as I can remember anyways. I've been a raver since 1994. The 90s in this small town 1 hour away from Orlando was the best times of my life. Not a lot of the people I knew back then are still alive.  I'm 46 now, I still go to edc and rave till the break of dawn. I always said I would write a book about growing up in this town, all the people I know and have known..  let's go way back, I was 11 years old going into the 4th grade when I moved to cocoa beach. From age 3-11 I lived a town away in Merritt Island, I also went to a catholic school for 5 years they held me back twice so I was the oldest kid going into 4th grade at a new school, public school. I was so excited I can still remember the ridiculous outfit I picked out it was white and had black gray and red paint splatter, shirt and skirt outfit. I had no clue how to dress, I had worn a uniform for the last 5 years and got taught by nuns that still used a ruler to smack your hands when you got outta line. Shit they still separated the boys and girls when walking in line. Going to a public school was so different but I liked it better I just hated I was the oldest one there. I stayed in that school till the middle of 8th grade when the school said I was to old to be in 8th grade and threw me into high school, in the middle of the year, so with that being said they had a program called drop out prevention. Guess who was the only girl in the class full of all the bad boys. Talk about slack. I would show up late for 1st period where I had a pillow and blanket in the closet and the teacher let me sleep throughout 3rd period then it was lunch time, gym class art class and then home free. Of course I didn't have enough credits for 10th grade so I had to stay back again, I ended up making it to 10th grade before I dropped out and went to a place called adult education where you did your work at your own pace and you did whatever class you wanted. There was only the 4 basic classes, math, English, science and history. But let's not get that far quite yet. Back to 9th grade. I was stoked to be going to cbhs cuz Kelly slater just graduated in 1992. It was 1993-94 school year and in a New school, I was 15 almost 16. You wanna know how I got popular? My mom had gone outta town for 3 days, so I decided to have a high school party, idk how the word spread so fast but there was a keg there within an hour and I had the whole street full of everyone in high schools car, even some that had graduated the year prior. C/O 92-95. That party went on to the wee hours of the night. That's the night I met my first male best friend, Tony Pocus, he was with his best friend, Nemrod Kenny, biblical name I was told... they had already graduated, which was cool with me. They gave me some LSD. What! Yes 15 doing acid. Had a blast. Tony and I got along so well we ended being such good friends for the next 10 years we called each other brother and sister.  He was always my big brother. He was a drug dealer. He had his own place, I never had to pay for shit when I was with him. He spoiled me. When I got my first car I would drive him everywhere in exchange for lsd and xtc and whatever else he had at that time. He introduced me to a lot of people. A lot of people high up in the drug chain here in this small town. I would hang out at his house almost every night. I never dated him or even tried. Just throwing that out there. I did however have a mad crush on his neighbor, Joey Rogers. Joey wasn't all there but goddamn he had the most colorful and pretty tats on his nice Italian body I just couldn't resist. We had started "hooking up" not boyfriend girlfriend, just fuck buddies. Well, he failed to inform me that he had a girlfriend.  One Monday morning in school the head cheerleader comes up to me and says, do you know joe rogers? I said why are you asking me this, I didn't think anyone knew him since he was no longer in school, she informed me that she was his girlfriend and I swear to God my face turned white. I just said, I'm so sorry I had no idea. Way to ruin my next weekend. Guess I won't be at Joey's anymore. Which Un a way I was kinda relived because Joey kinda scared me, he wasn't all there and would get so mad so easy. It was my way out. Needless to say that girl, her name us charity. Charity and I became best friends and we still talk to this day. Joey ended up moving to Lincoln Ave, Tony still lived on Roosevelt. We would all hang out in cape nightly. Tony would come bring us drugs and Joey supplied the house to chill in, he ended up letting this old guy who had a bunch of records and would play us good house music all the time. His name was Mike femal. Joey's apartment was in the middle of the apartments on the 2nd floor. Next door lived douggie Jordan and his brother. Well I guess Mike was a chomo and Doug and his brother decided they were gonna beat him to death, when he didn't fall for their plan, Joey did. Joey ended up so beat up he didn't make it but he was unrecognizable.  Doug ended up in prison for 20 years. He's already out. Joey wasn't all there but he didn't deserve to die. Charity was crushed.. they left his body on eberwine road. Eberwine road was known for a recent shooting involving little DJ sapor and a few others. One person died. Forgot their name. One other person died after Joey before they destroyed the road and the houses at the end of it on the beach. Alright ima cut this off for now.  More stories to come soon. I've only just begun. Hope you enjoy my stories.
